Structural Elements® Adds Area Development Program and Chief Development Officer to Bolster Franchise Growth

Holistic Orthopedic Wellness Brand Launches Strategy to Strengthen National Footprint; Seasoned Franchise Leader Dr. Ben Litalien Named Chief Development Officer

[startHAGERSTOWN, Md. - Structural Elements®, a unique wellness brand offering a transformative and therapeutic approach that focuses on how the body functions, announced today two strategies that will strengthen the brand’s national footprint - an area development program and the appointment of Dr. Ben Litalien as Chief Development Officer.

Paired together, the two additions aim to bolster the company’s strategic franchising growth initiative that is filling a critical gap in the health and orthopedic care industries by bringing holistic care to patients coast to coast.

The name Structural Elements® refers to the proprietary approach founder and CEO Doug Bertram developed as an acupuncturist. Operating on the fundamental belief that the body is a single unit, Bertram developed a mapping technique locating patterns of focal adhesions in response to mechanical stress.

As part of the Structural Elements® franchising plan, the area development program will award key territories to investors to develop multiple locations within their regions.

“As we ramp up our expansion efforts, I’m confident that our area development program will be our primary vehicle for growth, said Bertram. “It’s a strategic move that’ll allow us to provide quality holistic orthopedic care to more people, all while maintaining the operational consistency Structural Elements® was built on. Our effort on growing throughout key markets is exemplified with Ben’s addition to the team. His experience and knowledge of the franchise industry will be extremely beneficial.”

Dr. Litalien is the Founder and Principal of FranchiseWell, LLC, a consulting practice dedicated to the improvement and enhancement of franchising. He has invested more than two decades in the franchise community with a broad range of management and franchise-building experience including strategic planning, organizational development, concept management and franchise system growth. Dr. Litalien is also on staff at Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Education as the Academic Advisor for Franchise programs, and teaches the Franchise Management Certificate program for franchise professionals in the U.S. and around the world. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at University of Maryland University College where he teaches Franchising. He is a recognized global expert on franchise development and “franchising for good,” and is a contributing writer at Forbes Magazine, frequently featured in national and international news outlets and in industry trade publications.

“Structural Elements® unique approach to wellness reflects a shifting protocol in how we address health and orthopedic care that is transforming people’s lives and well-being,” said Dr. Litalien. “This transition represents a new opportunity in the franchise sector for significant investors who want to participate in the advancing demand for optimizing wellness. Strucutral Elements®’ innovative franchising model reflects the evolving business philosophy that franchising can be done for the betterment of society.”

With three locations currently open in Hagerstown and Frederick, MD and Milwaukee, WI, Structural Elements® will use the area development program to expand into similar markets in the United States where the demand for orthopedic care is high. Currently, Structural Elements® is focusing on the MidAtlantic, Southeast, and the Midwest for area development growth.

In existing markets, Structural Elements® has carved out its niche as being a reliable clinic for customized care using a combination of acupuncture/dry needling, manual soft tissue manipulation and joint mobilization. Structural Elements®’ typical patient is someone who has tried other orthopedic centers or treatment methods, but has failed to find relief. It’s common for patients to identify a nagging pain that got worse over time, rather than a recent injury.

The Structural Elements® area developer program is ideal for investors who have a passion to participate in the health and wellness sector and appreciates the (se) ® approach and mission. Structural Elements® will provide clinical support in each market to identify, train and monitor therapists for the area developer.
