JDog Junk Removal & Hauling Syncs Up With Lifetime’s Military Makeover to Rebuild Veterans’ Homes and Lives
JDog to serve as exclusive junk removal partner for the 2019 season
MALVERN, Pa. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - October 18, 2018 - JDog Junk Removal & Hauling (JDog), a national franchise committed to empowering the military community, is now the exclusive junk removal provider for Military Makeover on Lifetime® TV. The home improvement series seeks to transform the homes and lives of U.S. Veterans and repay them for their service and sacrifice.
In an arrangement sponsored by Military Veteran Partners (MVP), a service-based investment and advisory services company that has invested in JDog business owners nationwide, JDog will provide junk removal and assist with additional renovation needs for Military Makeover’s four home transformations during the 2019 season. JDog also recently participated in the home makeover of a Kansas City Air Force Veteran’s family--the final Veteran home improvement project of 2018.
“The values and commitment to the military community that drive JDog business owners are the same that power Military Makeover and built it into such a compelling and influential program,” said Steve Cloetingh, CEO of Military Veteran Partners. “At MVP, we are constantly looking for opportunities to show the country who JDog is and exemplify their commitment to service. This sponsorship with Military Makeover is a natural fit, not just for JDog’s junk removal business but for their mission to improve the lives of Veterans nationwide.”
Since it was founded in 2011 by Army Veteran Jerry Flanagan and his wife Tracy, JDog has opened nearly 200 Veteran- and military-family owned franchises across the U.S. and has created 1,000 job opportunities for Veterans, military spouses and family members, and others who share JDog’s work ethic and values of respect, integrity, and trust.
For Chris Hubler, the son-in-law of a Vietnam War Marine Corps Veteran, the grandson of Army and Air Force Veterans, and Chief Operating Officer at JDog Junk Removal & Hauling Kansas City, the job isn’t just about removing junk. While working on-site in Kansas City at the final Military Makeover renovation of 2018, he said, “Junk removal may be our business, but service is our passion. It’s at the very core of who we are, and propels our sense of camaraderie, not just with the Veterans and military family members on our JDog teams, but with the community and customers we help every day.”
Military Makeover, which has completed makeovers for 15 families, recently welcomed Montel Williams, a 22-year Marine Corps and Navy Veteran, as its host. Episode 1 of this Military Makeover series will air on Nov. 30 and Dec. 6, 2018 at 7:30 a.m. Each episode also airs 300 times in syndication. Stay tuned for Episode 2 airing Dec. 7 and Dec. 13, 2018; Episode 3 airing Dec. 21 and Dec. 27, 2018; and Episode 4 airing Dec. 28, 2018 and Jan. 3, 2019.
