LemonShark Poké Migrates To Visalia With New Store

Rapidly Growing Poké Franchise Opens Store in The Gateway to the Sequoias

October 22, 2018 // Franchising.com // BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - LemonShark Poké, a “fine-casual” premium poké concept known for serving top-quality locally-sourced ingredients has opened its largest store to date with seating for more than 65 people in Visalia, California. The store officially opened October 13, and is set to be a staple not only to the community but also for the LemonShark Poké corporate team as they plan to use the store as a testing site.

It has been a lifelong dream for franchisees Sam and Angela Cho to own and operate their own restaurant. Upon learning about LemonShark Poké, through their research on franchises, they instantly knew they had to bring it to their hometown of Visalia! The husband and wife duo bring their unique backgrounds and professional experience to their latest venture, with Sam having 20 years in the restaurant and food chemistry industries doing food prep, cooking and analytical food testing along with testing for USDA standards, and Angela coming from nursing as a case manager and five years experience as an emergency room nurse. The Chos' desire to bring poké to their neighborhood, paired with LemonShark Poké's top-notch service, modern décor, and corporate support team made it an easy decision for the couple to bring to Visalia.

Named after the Lemon Shark who only consumes the very best fish possible, LemonShark Poké prides itself on serving the finest quality ingredients to its guests. In addition to traditional poké offerings, the menu includes shareable appetizers such as tempura shrimp and egg rolls, and its signature Hawaii Katsu menu that features cooked-to-order, delectable entrées including chicken, Alaskan cod and more.

LemonShark Poké’s new location provides Tulare County locals with an elevated dining experience -- featuring Japanese-inspired upscale, chic furnishing and seating for nearly 70 people. Furthermore, the restaurant offers a unique self-serve beer wall with 10 taps, including local craft selections from Rocky Hill Brewery, Kaweah Brewing Co. and House of Pendragon Brewing Company as well as a craft sake menu with three options and five soju and plum wine selections. With LemonShark Poké offering Stubborn sodas at all its locations, Visalians will be able to experience the natural-flavored sodas as this marks the first time Stubborn will be sold in the area.

“The Chos are going to be an important part of the LemonShark Poké family, and they bring hard work and valuable experience in other fields to our newest location in Visalia,” said Tobi Miller, president and co-founder of LemonShark Poké. “Their passion for the brand really shines through, and will be invaluable as they establish themselves in this community.”

LemonShark Poké is located at 2038 S. Mooney Blvd, Visalia, CA 93277. Hours of operation are Sunday-Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. For more information, please call 559-713-6807 or visit www.lemonsharkpoke.com.
