Rush Bowls Bringing Healthy Eating to Bend

October 26, 2018 // Franchising.com // BOULDER, Colo. - Rush Bowls - a fast-casual restaurant chain known for its meals-in-a-bowl crafted from the finest fruits and vegetables, topped with granola and honey, and blended with protein, vitamins and other nutritious ingredients - is coming to Bend.

The store is slated to open in the spring of 2019 and will be owned and operated by husband and wife team Kerry and Yvonne Sullivan. The couple plans to open at least three Rush Bowls locations in the central Oregon market.

“We are thrilled to bring Rush Bowls to Bend,” said Kerry. “The variety of healthy and delicious options that the restaurant provides is perfect for both locals and tourists, and we know they will love Rush Bowls just as much as our family does.”

After being diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2016 - a life altering diagnosis - Kerry decided it was finally time to act on a lifelong dream of his: opening his own business. With thirty years of experience in the grocery and food industry, his passion for health and the family-like environment, Rush Bowls was the perfect fit for Kerry and his family.

Yvonne, who currently works as an E.R. nurse at St. Charles Hospital in Madras, will be running the business with her husband while continuing her full-time job.

Founded in 2004, Rush Bowls offers meals crafted from all-natural fruit, topped with organic granola and honey, and blended with protein, vitamins and other nutritious ingredients that taste delicious while promoting a healthy lifestyle. Customers can choose from over 40 signature bowls or all-natural smoothies made with fruit and vegetable bases, including acai, kale and avocado.

“Our number one priority is 100 percent all-natural nutrition, which makes Rush Bowls different
from other grab-and-go concepts,” Founder Andrew Pudalov noted. “Rush Bowls’ meals are crafted from the finest fruits and vegetables, with fresh toppings like organic granola, hand-grinded peanut butter and jam made in-house to ensure the highest quality and taste for our customers across multiple day parts.”

Over the past 14 years, Rush Bowls has cultivated a loyal following with its menu specializing in healthy, all-natural, fruit-blended meals-in-a-bowl for those on the go. Bowls are also available in vegan, gluten-free, soy-free and dairy free options, and anything can be custom made to cater to any and all dietary needs.

The brand has over 80 Rush Bowls restaurants currently in various stages of development across 14 states with a variety of deals in the pipeline in major markets across the United States and Canada.
