Expedia® CruiseShipCenters® Announces Collaboration with Rocky Productions
Leading Travel Franchise Offers Customers Enhanced Cruise Experience with Exclusive Old Time Rock & Roll Concerts
December 07, 2018 // Franchising.com // Bellevue, Wash. - The leading cruise travel agency franchise in North America, Expedia CruiseShipCenters, announces a collaboration with Rocky Productions, parent company of Rocky and The Rollers, a leading Rock & Roll band. Exclusive to Expedia CruiseShipCenters’ customers, Rocky and The Rollers, in addition to a legion of world-renowned national acts, will perform private concerts and host meet and greet autograph sessions for passengers aboard select Royal Caribbean cruises.
The collaboration launches on November 9, 2019 aboard the 8-Night Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas. The “Rockin’ the Caribbean” cruise will feature Rock & Roll themed concerts, dances and events headlined by popular national acts such as Jon “Bowzer” Bauman, Johnny Contardo, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap, Freddy “Boom Boom” Cannon, and much more. Whether it be for dancing, watching, or just listening to good old-time music, it’s sure to deliver a sensational experience. In the future, Expedia CruiseShipCenters hopes to expand the offering beyond Caribbean sailing itineraries and focus on Alaska, Australia, and Europe.
“We are thrilled beyond belief and ready to follow the fun with Expedia CruiseShipCenters,” said Gerry “Rocky” Seader of Rocky and The Rollers. “We know our shows can provide an enhanced experience for cruise guests, and we hope to grow this relationship to multiple departures and destinations.”
The Rocky and The Rollers band has almost 40 years of experience touring around the world in a wide range of musical situations, from fairs and festivals to concert halls and black-tie affairs. They have played with and performed for over 300 of the many great recording artists of the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s.
“This dynamic group truly amazes audiences with their high energy dance sets and genuine professionalism. Every song is a close resemblance to the original record that they perform” said Matthew Eichhorst, president of Expedia CruiseShipCenters. “Our franchise system got a taste of this with a Rocky and the Rollers performance at our recent Anchor Meeting, and we can’t wait to start offering this exclusive experience to our customers.”
