Painting with a Twist Announces Major Milestones in 2018, Welcomes New Corporate Leadership

Company Propels into New Markets, Breaks Records to Begin 10-Year Anniversary

December 13, 2018 // Franchising.com // NEW ORLEANS - Following a groundbreaking year that included an acquisition and impressive milestones with the company’s national fundraising efforts, Painting with a Twist, the original and largest paint and sip franchise, is heading into 2019 with a colorful growth plan backed by a newly expanded corporate team.

Painting with a Twist has bolstered its leadership team in the past year by adding Joe Lewis as Chief Executive Officer, Nancy Bigley as Chief Operating Officer and Katherine LeBlanc as Chief Marketing Officer. In October, the company announced the acquisition of Bottle & Bottega, an art and wine concept with 20 studios in nine states, marking the DIY art industry’s first ever merger and further cementing Painting with a Twist’s position as the DIY art segment’s largest and most established brand.

Other notable achievements in 2018 include:

  • Hitting the $5 Million fundraising mark through Painting with a Twist’s most popular Local Studio Marketing initiative: Painting with a Purpose. This program encourages franchisees to host fundraising events where up to 50% of proceeds are donated to local non-profit organizations.
  • Celebrating the company’s 10 millionth painting system-wide. Painting with a Twist is living up to its mission to inspire guests to have fun and create lasting memories through art. Painting with a Twist has more than 13,000 original pieces of copyrighted artwork, ranging from landscapes, abstracts and cityscapes, to creative renderings of animals, iconic buildings and floral, which have all been conceptualized and produced by Painting with a Twist art instructors.
  • For the fifth year in a row, Painting with a Twist ranked the No. 1 Paint and Sip Studio in Entrepreneur Magazine’s 39th Annual Franchise 500® edition.
