The Art of Success - Mad Science® and Crayola® Partner to Launch New Franchise Concept Designed to Deliver Children’s After-School Art Enrichment

MONTREAL (PRWEB) January 28, 2019 - Mad Science Group Inc., the leader in after-school enrichment has teamed up with Crayola®, the leader in art-infused education for 115 years, to launch Crayola® Imagine Arts Academy™ ( a new franchise based business designed to provide art-infused after-school enrichment programming.

Crayola® Imagine Arts Academy™ offers programs to children ages 5 to 12, designed to aid learning and reinforce key 21st century skills: creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication. Classes introduce children to the design thinking process and reinforce classroom curriculum through arts-integration. All children participating in the program receive art products from Crayola®, which help them continue their artistic journeys at home.

Both companies provided their shared expertise in developing unique arts programming and hands-on activities to create amazing after-school programs, summer camps, and birthday parties. Crayola® Imagine Arts Academy™ offers franchisees a turn-key solution from Mad Science®, a franchisor who has been in business more than 30 years and provides comprehensive training, onboarding, operational experience and support. Crayola® Imagine Arts Academy™ began market testing in 2016 with 18 Mad Science locations and will be rolling out new franchises beginning spring 2019.

“I have three kids, including a very artistic daughter who was less interested in Mad Science® but was very interested in art,” says Shafik Mina, president of Mad Science Group Inc. “I knew that we could do for art what we did for science, and help children engage with art in very different ways from other art enrichment programs in the market.”

“At Crayola®, we are all about giving kids innovative and relevant products that spark creative experiences, says Warren Schorr, Vice President of Business Development and Global Licensing. “Our collaboration with Mad Science® focuses on art concepts and techniques to broaden the understanding of today’s world, sharpen kids’ creativity and critical thinking skills as problem solving tools, and learn about different places and new cultures. We have always been committed to art infused education and are thrilled that Crayola® Imagine Arts Academy™ adds another valuable pillar in that mission.”
