Soccer Shots Warms Up to Make a Powerful Strike for Franchise Growth in 2019; Game-Winning Plan Kicks into High Gear
Premier Children’s Soccer Franchise Plans for Expansion into New Communities; Sets Objective of Serving One Million Children by 2022
February 06, 2019 // Franchising.com // HARRISBURG, Pa. - Soccer Shots, the engaging children's soccer program best known for its focus on character development, announced today a game plan that sets the stage for aggressive growth across North America. The brand aims to launch 32 new territories in 2019, with a specific focus on the Midwest, including Detroit, Milwaukee, Chicago and Kansas City.
The franchise currently has 117 franchise partners, adding 20 new territories in 2018. Approximately 330,000 children participate in Soccer Shots programming each year and, with its growth, the brand aspires for one million children to participate in its programs each year by 2022.
“Our talented soccer coaches, professional franchisees and unique programs offer sessions that are unmatched in the industry, building confidence, character and skill throughout each age group,” said Justin Bredeman, CEO of Soccer Shots. “We’re delighted to bring our passion and our program for positively impacting children into new communities across the nation.”
Aimed at positively impacting children’s lives, Soccer Shots strives to be the best 30 minutes of a child’s week through best-in-class coaching, communication and curriculum. Serving children ages two through eight, each franchise emphasizes having the best coaches in their communities, an exceptional customer experience including ongoing communication and an expert-approved curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards. Programs are customized for three different age groups. The 30-40-minute weekly program teaches children soccer fundamentals and character-building skills. Soccer Shots hosts private sessions through local schools and childcare centers as well as public programs, which are typically hosted through park districts.
Professional soccer teammates Jeremy Sorzano and Jason Webb launched Soccer Shots in Charlotte, N.C. in 1999 under the name Soccer Pals. Webb and Sorzano saw a void in the marketplace for quality soccer programs, noticing that few had the resources or skills to effectively teach children soccer fundamentals. After rebranding as Soccer Shots, Sorzano and Webb moved the company to South Central Pennsylvania and began franchising in 2005. In May of 2009, Justin Bredeman, another former college soccer teammate of Sorzano and Webb, became the third Soccer Shots partner.
“By supporting and growing our franchise community, we’re able to provide a fun, growth experience for thousands of boys and girls,” Bredeman added. “Over the next several years our objective is to strategically grow the brand in every viable market in the U.S. and Canada; we’re eager to explore these opportunities with folks who have the passion, character and skillset to operate a successful Soccer Shots franchise.”
Soccer Shots has further established itself through its partnerships with U.S. Soccer Foundation and U.S. Youth Soccer. The brand is also the top-ranked children’s soccer franchise on the Entrepreneur 500 list. These partnerships and recognitions help promote the brand on a local, regional and national level.
Ideal franchisees have a strong passion for making a positive impact on children and a desire to lead their own business. Soccer experience is not necessary to join the franchise, but knowledge and a dedication for the sport is preferred.
The corporate team provides franchisees with operational support, marketing resources to proactively promote the program, branded equipment and robust training for establishing partnerships with community organizations and schools.
