Booming yoga franchise set to expand into the peachy state with first studio in Alpharetta

February 27, 2019 // Franchising.com // Lawrenceville, New Jersey - Honor Yoga, known as an eco- and beginner-friendly yoga studio and community that welcomes and nourishes every yogi to thrive in their practice, has set its intentions on expanding into Georgia. Looking to stretch its yoga experience to more communities, the brand is set to open its first studio in Alpharetta and Roswell area.

The upcoming Honor Yoga studio will be owned and operated by local yogi, Shreyas Joshi. He plans to build his Honor Yoga studio in the Alpharetta and Roswell areas, which will serve surrounding communities including Milton and East Cobb.

“I am so excited to bring Honor Yoga’s mission to Georgia,” said Joshi “Yoga helps people to reconnect with themselves physically and mentally, and I want to be able to help as many people as I can - especially those who are just starting their yoga journey. The Alpharetta and Roswell communities, among others, desire a beginner-friendly yoga studio designed to bring the community closer together. I hope to provide a welcoming environment that will encourage yoga practices for every person.”

Prior to becoming an independent business owner, Joshi worked as SAP Consultant, an enterprise wide software to manage all aspects of a business. As a devoted yogi who has been practicing for years, Shreyas plans to become a certified instructor in order to teach classes once his studio opens.

“Yoga is a beautiful experience,” Joshi expressed. “I want to provide a service and place where people can come to recharge, have a moment to themselves, and go happily back into the world. Honor Yoga’s structure provides a safe place for beginners, especially, to feel comfortable as their bodies stretch in new directions. ”

Founded by fitness industry veteran Maria Turco, Honor Yoga’s mission is to provide welcoming, beginner-friendly and accessible yoga studios where healthier and happier communities can be built around the practice of yoga. Focused on five pillars– physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual and social health – Honor Yoga offers a variety of classes to fit into each individual’s diverse lifestyle and schedule. From gentle, roots, calm and strong, slow flow, flow, power flow, aerial, yoga barre and meditation, each class is designed to fulfill Honor Yoga’s five pillars of yogic practice to relax the mind, restore balance, and build strength and flexibility. Honor Yoga also offers online streaming yoga classes.

Furthermore, each studio is consciously designed with the environment in mind. The living and breathing space honors the body, spirit and environment through a living vertical garden, bamboo floors as a wood substitute, safe cleaning products, and reusable retail products, among other design elements.

“Yoga serves as a catalyst for self-growth and discovery. Shreyas’s knowledge, passion, and understanding of the power of yoga combined with his genuine desire to help others live healthy, will help him successfully introduce Honor Yoga to community of Alpharetta,” added Turco. “We are thrilled to have Shreyas join our family and look forward to watching him carry our mission into Georgia.”

Honor Yoga currently has 25 studios in various stages of development across six states, with plans to open 20 additional studios each year. By 2023, Honor Yoga expects to have 100 studios open and operating.
