In Support of International Women’s Day, Assisted Living Locators Steps Up Recruitment of Women Franchisees
Founder, CEO Angela Olea Wants to Help More Women Looking for Way into Franchise Industry
March 07, 2019 // Franchising.com // SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - In support of International Women’s Day, March 8, Assisted Living Locators, a leading senior placement and referral franchisor, announced today it is stepping up recruitment of women franchise owners.
The company is making the move to help more women looking for a way into the franchise industry, according to Assisted Living Locators Founder and CEO RN Angela Olea.
“Franchising can be a tremendous opportunity for women to forge a path to meeting their personal and financial goals,” said Olea. “Women offer a great source for franchise growth. They have strong communication skills, good networking and a collaborative work approach, which is just the right skill set for running a successful franchise operation. That’s especially true in our industry space.”
As the first senior placement and referral franchise business in the U.S., Assisted Living Locators pioneered its way to a national presence with 106 franchisees in 33 states and the District of Columbia. Olea stated that about 40% of their franchises are owned by women and another 12% are co-owned by two partners, often husbands and wives teaming up to build their future together.
“International Women’s Day is about supporting and respecting women everywhere,” explained Olea. “At Assisted Living Locators, we value women and find they excel as franchisees. We’ve always focused on recruiting women as franchisees, but now more than ever, we intend to broaden our outreach to attract women to our business. Our franchise system is perfect for nurturing women where they can use the power of our brand and proven business model to make their own success."
Alane Roberts, Houston Assisted Living Locators franchisee and National Association of Professional Women member, urges women to take the entrepreneurial plunge and own a franchise. “Franchising is a more secure approach than starting a business from the ground-up,” she explained. “By joining a powerful brand like Assisted Living Locators, you have the wonderful combination of running your own business, and a huge support network behind you with existing processes and best practices.”
Leslie Jackson, Charleston Assisted Living Locators franchisee and mother, says owning a franchise also allows women to have more flexibility in their schedule and is a great business prospect for women at different life stages. “For women looking for work/life balance with their families, franchising offers flexibility and the support necessary to flourish,” she added. “Franchising also offers a unique opportunity for women who are early in their career, during motherhood, post corporate career or as a brand-new career track after serving in the military. Women can tap into a proven franchise business like Assisted Living Locators, make their own success, and control their own destiny.”
“More women need to enter the franchising industry because they bring unique qualities and perspectives as business owners that bolster their success,” said Olea. “At Assisted Living Locators, we can make your dream of an entrepreneur come true. If you're ready to take on your very own franchise, let us help you through the process.”
