Soccer Shots Adds Vice President of Marketing and Communications

Premier Children’s Soccer Franchise Appoints Ashley Mitchell to Support National Initiatives and Rapid Growth

March 07, 2019 // // HARRISBURG, Pa. - Soccer Shots, the engaging children's soccer program best known for its focus on character development, announced today its appointment of seasoned brand management professional Ashley Mitchell to Vice President of Marketing and Communications.

After serving nearly 10 years with some of the most reputable children-service and family-entertainment brands, Mitchell joins Soccer Shots’ leadership team with tremendous industry knowledge and marketing skills. Building on the momentum of the brand’s franchising growth initiative, her role aims to enhance national branding, local enrollment marketing and franchise development messaging.

Prior to Soccer Shots, Mitchell held several positions in which she was responsible for creating and driving marketing strategy, maintaining budgets, executing high-profile events and upholding company branding, including roles with The Walt Disney Company and Goldfish Swim School Franchising. Based on her experience, she understands the importance of protecting a highly-revered brand while simultaneously translating the larger brand message to a regional and local level.

With Mitchell’s leadership and support, the brand aims to launch 32 new territories in 2019, with a specific focus on the Midwest, including Detroit, Milwaukee, Chicago and Kansas City. Approximately 440,000 children participate in Soccer Shots programming each year and, with its growth, the brand aspires for one million children to participate in its programs each year by 2022.

Serving children ages two through eight, each franchise emphasizes having professional coaches in their communities, an exceptional customer experience including ongoing communication and an expert-approved curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards. Programs are customized for three different age groups. The weekly program teaches children soccer fundamentals and character-building skills. Soccer Shots hosts private sessions through local schools and childcare centers as well as public programs, which are typically hosted through park districts.

Since its inception, Soccer Shots has further established itself through its partnerships with U.S. Soccer Foundation and U.S. Youth Soccer. The brand is also the top-ranked children’s soccer franchise on the Entrepreneur 500 list. These partnerships and recognitions help promote the brand on a local, regional and national level.
