Rush Bowls Bringing Healthy Eating to Greater Tacoma, Washington Area

April 01, 2019 // Franchising.com // BOULDER, Colo. - Rush Bowls - a fast-casual chain known for its meals-in-a-bowl crafted from the finest fruits and vegetables, topped with granola and honey, and blended with protein, vitamins and other nutritious ingredients - is slated to open its first of five locations planned for the greater Tacoma, Washington area.

All five stores will be owned by local entrepreneur Scott Mills. He is eyeing sites in Tacoma and surrounding areas in Pierce County.

“I am thrilled to bring Rush Bowls to Pierce County,” said Mills. “After trying Rush Bowls, I wanted to go back and eat it again. The product is delicious and in our area, there are limited options for healthy fast-casual fare. There is a need in the marketplace that Rush Bowls is sure to fill.”

Mills has served in the United States Air Force for 22 years, where he has flown and moved cargo around the world. His first assignment was stationed in Tacoma, Washington where he stayed eight years before moving around and deploying overseas multiple times. Now residing in Pierce County for the last four years, Mills is confident it is his forever home once he leaves the military in May.

Founded in 2004, Rush Bowls offers meals crafted from all-natural fruit, topped with organic granola and honey, and blended with protein, vitamins and other nutritious ingredients that taste delicious while promoting a healthy lifestyle. Customers can choose from over 40 signature bowls or all-natural smoothies made with fruit and vegetable bases, including acai, kale and avocado.

“Our number one priority is 100 percent all-natural nutrition, which makes Rush Bowls different from other grab-and-go concepts,” Rush Bowls founder and CEO Andrew Pudalov noted. “Rush Bowls’ meals are crafted from the finest fruits and vegetables, with fresh toppings like organic granola, hand-grinded peanut butter and jam made in-house to ensure the highest quality and taste for our customers.”

Over the past 15 years, Rush Bowls has cultivated a loyal following with its menu specializing in healthy, all-natural, fruit-blended meals-in-a-bowl for those on the go. Bowls are also available in vegan, gluten-free, soy-free and dairy free options, and anything can be custom made to cater to any and all dietary needs.

“We are very excited to work with Scott, a veteran who has given so much to this country, and is now working with Rush Bowls to provide healthy meals to his community throughout the Tacoma area,” added Pudalov.
