Monster Tree Service Awards Territories South of Boston
Eric Wellmann Brings Nation’s First and Fastest-Growing Tree Service Franchise to the South Shore
April 16, 2019 // Franchising.com // BOSTON - Monster Tree Service, the nation’s first and fastest-growing tree service franchise, has opened a new location near Boston, Massachusetts. Recently featured by SUCCESS magazine, Thrive Global, and Franchise Times, the Monster Tree Service franchise continues to build on its rapid three-year franchise system growth.
Entrepreneur Eric Wellmann recently purchased the rights to two Monster Tree Service territories in the South Shore, a region just south of Boston. With the help of his knowledgeable Head of Operations, Craig Geddis, Wellmann officially launched his business in March and is eager to provide quality tree service to local residents. Wellmann is a seasoned businessman eager for a new challenge. After a 20-year career as an institutional stockbroker, Wellmann is now pursuing his life-long dream of small business ownership.
“I am thrilled to be on board as a Monster Tree Service franchisee,” says Wellmann. “I knew I wanted to own a franchise, and I was determined to find the right franchise for me. It’s an important decision, so I wanted to be sure to invest wisely. I worked with a franchise consultant who introduced me to Monster Tree Service, and I knew right away I had found my franchise. I loved the idea of being outdoors, the location of the territory and the scalable business model.”
Josh Skolnick, CEO and Founder of Monster Tree Service, is confident that Wellmann will be a tremendous asset to the Monster Tree Service franchise.
“Eric is a great fit for the Monster Tree Service brand,” says Skolnick. “He has an extensive business background, knows the territory and has top-notch client management skills. We are very glad to have him on our team, and I can’t wait to see his business grow in the coming years.”
Monster Tree Service was the first franchise tree company to capitalize on the under-served $21 billion tree service industry. Monster Tree Service has achieved consistent year-over-year growth since 2009, resulting in a thriving franchise system expected to exceed $50 million in systemwide revenue in 2019. Moving forward, as a high-upside opportunity and a recession-proof business, Monster Tree Service expects to achieve $100 million in sales by 2021.
“The corporate team has been incredibly helpful throughout the whole process, and I am very grateful for their support,” says Wellmann. “With their industry expertise and my background in finance and business, I am very confident in this investment. I’m proud to offer our wide array of services, including tree trimming and maintenance, emergency tree services, plant health care and more, to the South Shore.”
