Boulder Favorite Rush Bowls Opening Second Fort Collins Location

April 18, 2019 // // BOULDER, Colo. - Rush Bowls - a fast-casual chain known for its meals-in-a-bowl crafted from the finest fruits and vegetables, topped with granola and honey, and blended with protein, vitamins and other nutritious ingredients - is expanding its Colorado footprint, slated to open its second Fort Collins location in May 2019.

Located at 1205 W. Elizabeth St., the location is owned by brothers Troy & Jim Leisenring. They also own the original Fort Collins location, which opened in May 2018.

“As a Colorado-born concept, Rush Bowls has been welcomed and warmly received by the Fort Collins community and I’m excited to continue building upon that excitement for the brand,” said Troy Leisenring. “Rush Bowls fills a need everyone has – the desire for a quick, nutritious and delicious meal on-the-go. Rush Bowls fuels the Fort Collins community as we charge through our day and I am thrilled to bring these great tasting meals to more people.”

Armed with extensive business acumen the Leisenring’s are growing Rush Bowls into a staple in the Fort Collins area. Prior to Rush Bowls, Troy was a fifth generation owner of the family Firestone store in Denver. In 1990, he went on to work as a sales representative for an oil company, before moving on to be a franchise consultant for Big O Tires, where he’s been for the past six years. A former University of Northern Colorado football player - where he met his wife, former University of Northern Colorado track runner and current elementary school teacher Leanna -, a little league coach and a father to two kids, Troy is passionate about healthy living.

Jim Leisenring spent 35 years in the private golf club business and is still a member of the Professional Golfers Association (PGA). Spending a majority of his career in California and Arizona, Jim has enjoyed returning home and working alongside his brother.

“Troy got the ball rolling with our first location and we have been thrilled with the response. We are having fun partnering up and making this a family endeavor.” said Jim Leisenring. “I’m enjoying being back in Colorado and I look forward to getting to know the Fort Collins community as we continue planting roots and expanding throughout the area.”

Founded in 2004, Rush Bowls offers meals crafted from all-natural fruit, topped with organic granola and honey, and blended with protein, vitamins and other nutritious ingredients that taste delicious while promoting a healthy lifestyle. Customers can choose from over 40 signature bowls or all-natural smoothies made with fruit and vegetable bases, including acai, kale and avocado.

“Our number one priority is 100 percent all-natural nutrition, which makes Rush Bowls different from other grab-and-go concepts,” Rush Bowls founder and CEO Andrew Pudalov noted. “Rush Bowls’ meals are crafted from the finest fruits and vegetables, with fresh toppings like organic granola, hand-grinded peanut butter and jam made in-house to ensure the highest quality and taste for our customers.”

Over the past 15 years, Rush Bowls has cultivated a loyal following with its menu specializing in healthy, all-natural, fruit-blended meals-in-a-bowl for those on the go. Bowls are also available in vegan, gluten-free, soy-free and dairy free options, and anything can be custom made to cater to any and all dietary needs.

“We are very excited to see Troy and Jim expanding Rush Bowls’ presence to additional areas of Fort Collins,” said Pudalov. “Troy and Jim have done a fantastic job operating their Rush Bowls’ store and we look forward to their continued growth and success.”
