Mathnasium's Sue Kwon is recognized as a 2019 Rock Star Franchise Owner by Franchise Business Review
LOS ANGELES, May 15, 2019 // PRNewswire // - Mathnasium Learning Center's Sue Kwon has been named a 2019 Rock Star Franchise Owner by the franchisee satisfaction research firm, Franchise Business Review.
Kwon was selected from over 27,000 franchisees from more than 300 brands that participated in FBR's research over the past 18 months.
"We chose individuals who exemplify the qualities that make the franchising model work: a strong work ethic, leadership, and a real commitment to their business and community," said Michelle Rowan, president & COO of Franchise Business Review.
As a certified Texas educator, I always knew that there should be something that could be done to teach students mathematics more effectively," said Kwon. "In 2006, when I met Mathnasium's Chief Instructional Officer Larry Martinek, I knew immediately that I could make a difference in my community."
Kwon opened her first Mathnasium Learning Center later that year in Cinco Ranch, Texas, where it became a Houston powerhouse. In 2016, she opened a second center, Mathnasium of Fulshear, to meet growing demand for Mathnasium's unique educational approach.
"I am honored to be part of the math education of thousands of children in my community. I truly believe that Mathnasium changed not only my life, but the lives of our students and even our instructors," said Kwon. "I continue to learn from parents, instructors, other franchisees, and the global Mathnasium family every day."
"We congratulate Sue on being an FBR Rock Star," said Mathnasium CEO Peter Markovitz. "She has built an extraordinary business — and she is changing the lives of so many children in her community."
FBR's Franchisee Satisfaction Reports indicate overwhelming franchisee support for the Mathnasium company and brand, which consistently ranks in the top 50 of surveyed franchises.
