Moving and Portable Storage Franchises are 30th and 31st Nationally

May 16, 2019 // Franchising.com // CHARLESTON, S.C. - UNITS® Moving and Portable Storage, a national moving and portable storage franchise headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, has awarded two new territories in Baltimore, Maryland and Austin, Texas. The new franchises are the first in Maryland and the third to call Texas home, joining franchise locations in Houston and San Antonio.

“We’re incredibly excited to award two territories in these terrific American cities,” UNITS Moving and Portable Storage CEO Michael McAlhany said. “We have no doubt our new locations will thrive in these great communities.”

Real estate attorney and entrepreneur Peter Burstein is bringing UNITS Moving and Portable Storage to Baltimore. He’s excited to celebrate a grand opening this summer in the city he’s called home for more than two decades.

“I’m excited to bring a locally-owned portable storage solution to the Greater Baltimore area,” Burstein said. “UNITS Moving and Portable Storage uses advanced technology in their platform making it an ideal solution for families, businesses and communities throughout the region.”

Franchise owners Jon and Ken Fischer are also excited to bring UNITS Moving and Portable Storage’s reputation for high-quality constructed containers, competitive pricing and exceptional customer service to Austin as well.

“We couldn’t be happier to be part of the UNITS Moving and Portable Storage team,” Jon said. “There is so much happening in Austin today, and so many people moving here, that we couldn’t imagine a better place to open a UNITS franchise.”
