Proforma Senior Leaders Judge the University of Florida Big Idea Competition

May 20, 2019 // Franchising.com // Gainesville, FL - On Thursday, April 25, 2019, Proforma’s Senior Leadership served as judges in the University of Florida’s Big Idea Gator Business Plan Competition which is designed to bring students’ cool business ideas to life.

Vera Muzzillo, Proforma’s CEO and University of Florida School of Entrepreneurship Board Member, says, “We are passionate about business success and ownership, and it is a privilege to contribute to the next generation of business leaders. The Big Idea Competition combines the spirit of entrepreneurism with actual prize money for strong business models.“

“This Competition showcases great business plans, and we ask our judges not only to score these models but also to provide business mentoring and leadership. We always invite Proforma because they have a demonstrated passion for business excellence and innovative technology. Many teams have benefitted from Proforma’s insightful feedback, strong understanding of entrepreneurism, and commitment to business ownership,” notes Jamie Kraft, Director, Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Florida.

The Big Idea Competition was created to help students grow their business ideas. It is a four-month competition held every spring in which the students create growth-oriented business models. The top four teams are awarded more than $40,000 in prizes.

It is an honor to serve as a judge to assist these young businesses in fine-tuning their plans to bring their companies to market.
