June 24, 2019 // Franchising.com // Pullach - SIXT SE is consistently rolling out its integrated mobility offering with the new SIXT App. The company not only offers car rental, car sharing and ride hailing in one app, but now also short-term rental of e-scooters together with its cooperation partner TIER Mobility.

In just a few days from now on, customers can also book thousands of e-scooters in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Bonn and Münster via the SIXT App. The cooperation will be gradually extended to other cities and countries. SIXT customers can thus access TIER’s steadily growing range of products in Germany without leaving the app.

Alexander Sixt, Chief Strategy Officer at SIXT SE: “The demand for e-scooters is growing rapidly in major cities worldwide. We will include the popular e-scooters in our mobility range in Germany. This shows once again that the customer determines our offer. We are delighted to have won TIER as the ideal partner for the first and last mile.”

TIER as the ideal partner for a multimodal mobility offering

TIER Mobility, the leading European company in the field of shared micro-mobility services, wants to complement public transport on short journeys and make a significant contribution to the ongoing transformation of transport by relieving cities of emissions and congestion. Responsible usage and safety are at the centre of TIER’s activities. The latest generation of e-scooters complement the existing SIXT share range and thus enable flexible, fast and efficient mobility over the last mile.

Lawrence Leuschner, CEO and co-founder of TIER Mobility: “With the cooperation of SIXT and TIER, we are offering our customers a joint multimodal mobility solution and are taking a major step towards the mobility of the future.”

Customers have access to the joint offering of TIER and SIXT share via the SIXT app, in which SIXT integrates its products SIXT rent, SIXT share and SIXT ride.
