2019 Is Brand’s Third Year On The List

The Forbes Best Franchises to Buy list is compiled with the assistance of franchise industry research firm FRANdata. FRANdata analyzed 3,300 franchise brands and their data from 2013 to 2017. The 30 best and worst were chosen based on activity, performance and scale. The final ranking was based on system sustainability, system demand, value for investment, franchisor support and franchisor stability.
Cincinnati-based Penn Station East Coast Subs features grilled sub sandwiches – including the chain’s renowned Philadelphia cheesesteak sandwich – and cold deli sandwiches made to order with high-quality ingredients on hearth-baked bread.
