UNITS Moving and Portable Storage Awards New Locations in Columbus, Ohio, and Jacksonville, Florida

Moving and Portable Storage Franchises are 32nd and 33rd Nationally

October 04, 2019 // Franchising.com // CHARLESTON, S.C. - UNITS® Moving and Portable Storage, a national moving and portable storage franchise headquartered in Charleston, South Carolina, has awarded two new territories in Columbus, Ohio, and Jacksonville, Florida. The Columbus franchise is the second in Ohio (Cincinnati) and third in Florida (Miami, Orlando).

“Columbus and Jacksonville are two terrific communities for us to award,” UNITS Moving and Portable Storage CEO Michael McAlhany said. “We’re excited about the ownership groups in both cities and ready to introduce our brand to the people that live there.”

UNITS Moving and Portable Storage of Columbus was awarded to Steve Bergfeld, a seasoned senior executive in healthcare and higher education. A resident of Upper Arlington, Steve is very familiar with the Central Ohio region and the significant growth this community is experiencing.

“Having lived and worked in St. Louis, Dallas, and Chicago, I know of no better city than Columbus to start a business. The business friendly ecosystem and expanding economy creates the perfect environment for a start-up,” Bergfeld said. Russell and Krissa Sachs were awarded UNITS Moving and Portable Storage of Jacksonville. Russell enjoyed a professional career as an anesthesiologist while overseeing a cattle and goat farm. The newly-married couple is thrilled to be the newest members of the UNITS Moving and Portable Storage family.

“Krissa and I were really impressed with what we saw from the UNITS Moving and Portable Storage brand,” Russell said. “I have no doubt this franchise will be a welcome addition to the business community in Jacksonville.”

Both franchises are expected to open in early 2020.
