Fitness Machine Technicians to Open in Palm Beach and Broward County in November

Boynton Beach residents Ted Konugkis and Helayne Klier-Konugkis to open national fitness equipment repair service location in Southeast Florida

October 09, 2019 // Franchising.com // PALM BEACH, Fla. - Fitness Machine Technicians, specialists in the maintenance and repair of exercise equipment for commercial and residential customers, announced today it will open its first location in Florida this fall. Husband and wife team Ted Konugkis and Helayne Kiler-Konugkis of Boynton Beach said they are scheduled to open the Palm Beach and Broward County location in November.

Headquartered in Philadelphia, Fitness Machine Technicians operates in more than 70 markets across the country and offers service/repair and maintenance on a variety of exercise equipment to fitness centers, universities, high schools, hotels, apartment complexes, corporate gyms and private residences.

For Ted and Helayne, transplants from New Jersey, being able to provide this type of service to both consumers and the fitness and hospitality industry is very exciting. Helayne gained valuable experience through her years in senior executive roles with Prudential and MetLife as a tunaround expert creating competitive advantage for customers and industry leading services. Ted honed his skills as an entrepreneur and business owner, managing and operating mobile home and landscaping companies. He also served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT for more than 20 years. Looking for a change from corporate America, the two were drawn to Fitness Machine Technicians because of its national footprint, the growing population in Florida, access to a pool of talented workers, and an increased focus on healthy living achieved through exercise.
