Glory Days Grill®’s Lily Wilson Wins VRLTA’S ‘Restaurant Employee Of The Year’

October 21, 2019 // Franchising.com // Gaithersburg, MD - Glory Days Grill is proud to announce an award received at the Virginia Restaurant, Lodging & Travel Association’s (VRLTA) 2019 Ordinary Awards Dinner on October 10, 2019. Lily Wilson, a team member at the Reston/North Point Village Center Glory Days Grill restaurant, won ‘Restaurant Employee of the Year’ for her extraordinary dedication to the company, team members, guests, and every role that she has worked as a member of the Glory Days Grill/North Point team.

Lily Wilson is described by her team as a “superstar”. She has worked and excelled in virtually every position in the front of the house including Host, Server, To Go, and Expo. She shines in every role she is assigned including Catering and Event Marketing, and she is also one of the top trainers at Glory Days Grill’s 21 company-owned restaurants. Lily exhibits a dedication, energy, and enthusiasm which is only paralleled by her vigorous work ethic, and what makes her even more amazing is that Lily has worked at the restaurant for 5 years since North Point opened and she is not yet 21 years old.

This year’s award follows Gary Cohen’s ‘Restauranteur of the Year’ Award and Burke, Virginia’s ‘Restaurant of the Year’ Award – both in 2018 – as well as Chef Tony Cochones’s ‘Chef of the Year’ award in 2017. Glory Days Grill is a sports-themed family restaurant operating 36 corporate and franchised restaurants in 5 states. The company is committed to excellence in food and hospitality, the enjoyment of sports, and contributing to the communities in which they operate.

Named after the oldest inn in America, called Chinn’s “Ordinary”, the winners of the Ordinary Awards “represent all the extraordinary people and companies that make up Virginia’s hospitality and tourism industry,” said Eric Terry President of the Virginia Restaurant, Lodging & Travel Association. “On behalf of the VRLTA, our staff, and board, we applaud the efforts of these individuals for the exemplary work they have done and will continue to do.”
