A New Era of Junk King is on the Horizon

Corporate Team and Franchisees Come Together to Celebrate Junk King 2.0 at 8th Annual Franchise Conference

October 25, 2019 // Franchising.com // SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Junk King, the nation’s top-rated junk removal and hauling company, hosted its 8th annual franchise conference and awards ceremony at the corporate headquarters in South San Francisco from October 13-15.

Themed, “Junk King 2.0”, the 2019 conference focused on ushering in a new era of Junk King after a historic year for the brand. Earlier this year, it was announced that Norwest Venture Partners, a premier multi-stage investment firm, is a new investment partner. The past few weeks have also brought on additions to the corporate team with Lisa Merry, Chief Operating Officer, and Jeremy Wallace, Vice President of Business Development.

Over the course of three-days, franchisees participated in presentations from the corporate team on the brand’s system growth, expansion into the digital space and increase in franchisee support. Franchisees also were a part of roundtable sessions where they had the opportunity to speak with fellow franchisees on various topics such as advertising, networking and business management providing them with an opportunity to learn from each other.

“I always had big goals for Junk King when we started back in 2005. Seeing how much we have grown in the past 14 years always brings me immense pride, but I didn’t get to this point by myself. None of this would have been possible without the hard work of everyone on corporate team and dedicated franchisees,” said Michael Andreacchi, CEO and co-founder of Junk King. “2020 is going to be an exciting year, only further solidifying us as a key player in the junk removal industry.”

To finish off the three-day celebration, the corporate team presented several franchisees with various awards to acknowledge their achievements over the past year. A total of 17 awards were given in 10 categories.

Winners from 2019 conference include:

  • Best Year Over Year Growth – Austin and San Diego
  • Hustle Award – New Orleans, Chicago Downtown and Portland
  • Best New Franchise – Buffalo
  • Most Improved – Orange County
  • Most Outstanding – Minneapolis
  • Team Player – Denver and Pittsburgh
  • Good Samaritan – Cincinnati

Looking ahead to 2020, the company will continue its efforts in making the world a better place for generations to come through its commitment to recycling, repurposing and donating every item that gets picked up.
