Helen Doron Challenges Bilingualism Myths at Global Educational Technologies Conference

Bilingualism expert Helen Doron was invited to heighten awareness of the importance of early language learning using her effective educational methodology, at the Sixth Annual EdCrunch Conference in Moscow.

MOSCOW (PRWEB) November 02, 2019 - Worldwide members of the educational technology industry gathered in Moscow at the prestigious EdCrunch Conference, to discuss where education is today and where it's headed in the future. Amongst the conference's special guest speakers, which included CEOs of global educational companies and highly respected academicians, was Helen Doron, founder and CEO of the Helen Doron Educational Group, whose expertise on bilingualism is globally acknowledged.

Doron, whose unique methodology is best known for enabling children to grow up fully bilingual, learning English as a second language in a fun, natural and stress-free manner, presented the master class workshop: 'Bilinguals: How to teach a child to speak several languages, easily and naturally.' The dynamic, multi-media presentation, which included a novel demonstration with child participants, offered parents numerous tips on how to facilitate their child's harmonious bilingual development.

As a member of the panel, 'More is Better, or is it? How and why to teach a child several languages?' Ms. Doron went on to dispel common myths about raising children bilingually. "Firstly, I introduced the fact that there are 6,000 languages and only 200 countries, which means that most people in the world are multilingual! Once we see that and can put the myths out of the way, we can start to talk about language education."

Doron also served on the "Phygital Generation" panel, which asked pivotal questions about how to raise and educate the children of today, blending digital experiences with physical ones.

According to Anna Tseluyko, Helen Doron Master Franchisee for Krasnodar, Russia, Doron's talks were among the most popular at the conference: "The halls where they were held were overcrowded, with people standing at the back and even sitting on the floor, as there was not enough room to accommodate everyone. Afterwards, Helen was mobbed by people asking to take a photo with her – and we were especially surprised to see people from small towns in Russia, where Helen Doron schools are not present, talking about how excited they were to meet her."

The widespread agreement among conference participants was that Ms. Doron's presence had provided great added value, especially as it challenged many of the widely held beliefs in Russia about children's development. The conference organizers have already requested Ms. Doron's presence next year, at the 7th Annual Conference.
