Senior Helpers of the Greater Seacoast Owner Dwight Davis Recognized as One of New Hampshire’s Most Influential Business Leaders

Local In-Home Senior Care Franchise Owner Honored with the New Hampshire 200 Distinction by the New Hampshire Business Review

November 15, 2019 // Franchising.com // MANCHESTER, NH - The New Hampshire Business Review announced the honorees of the New Hampshire 200 Awards, celebrating the state’s highest-regarded business leaders, including Senior Helpers® of the Greater Seacoast owner, Dwight Davis. The honorees were selected according to their expansive footprint across regional business circles, hundreds of interviews and months of research, culminating in a highly selective, biographical guide to the people who help run New Hampshire. Senior Helpers, the nation’s premier provider of in-home senior care, has over 300 locations across the United States, with the Greater Seacoast franchise serving seniors and their families throughout Hillsborough, Merrimack, Rockingham and Strafford counties.

Dwight Davis and his wife Gayle founded Senior Helpers of the Greater Seacoast in 2014, after spending a decade in New Hampshire and having provided care for their own aging parents. Davis has spent many years as a successful realtor in the state and has remained active in the community, where he was appointed to serve as a board member on the New Hampshire Workforce Investment Board by Governors Lynch, Hassan and Sununu, has served on the boards of the United Way of the Greater Seacoast, New Hampshire Youth Workforce Opportunity Council, the New Hampshire Black Heritage Trail and currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the National Basketball Retired Players Association. A graduate of the University of Houston, Davis was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association, where he played for five years. Davis was also recognized with the 2018 Business Excellence Award by the New Hampshire Business Review for his distinguished work in the New Hampshire business community.

“When I moved out to New Hampshire 15 years ago I had no idea how much the local community would change my life, and I’m honored beyond words that my fellow peers recognize and feel inspired by my work,” said Davis. “It’s been a privilege to help assist local residents through my involvement with Senior Helpers, Youth Council, Workforce Investment Board and other local initiatives. I truly value my work in the community and it’s equally rewarding to see that hard work pay off.”

“Dwight and Gayle Davis have been exemplary franchise owners these past five years, and Dwight’s leadership is a stellar example of what a business owner should strive towards,” said Peter Ross, CEO and co-founder of Senior Helpers. “We’re lucky to have Dwight and Gayle represent our brand and are inspired by all the positive work that they’ve done in the state of New Hampshire. Congratulations!”

The awards are a compilation of a year-long research initiative led by the editors of New Hampshire Business Review, who developed a detailed, engaging review of the state’s most influential business leaders across major industries. The complete list of honorees will be featured in the November issue of the publication.
