Golden Corral Ranked a Top Franchise in Entrepreneur’s Highly Competitive Annual Franchise 500
February 06, 2020 // Franchising.com // Raleigh, N.C. - Golden Corral, the nation’s largest grill-buffet chain, is proud to announce the company recently ranked in Entrepreneur magazine’s Franchise 500, one of the world’s most admired business rankings. They ranked number 90 in the publication’s 41st annual review and finished 1st in the Miscellaneous Full-Service Category.
For more than four decades, the Franchise 500 has become both a dominant competitive measure for franchisors and a primary research tool for potential franchisees. Golden Corral’s position on the ranking is a testament to its strength as a franchise opportunity.
“We are honored once again to be ranked highly on Entrepreneur magazine’s Franchise 500 list,” said Golden Corral President and Chief Executive Officer Lance Trenary. “During our 47-year history, Golden Corral has continued to grow through innovative ideas to attract new generations of customers and by partnering with dedicated business entrepreneurs who share our core beliefs and see the value of our successful brand.”
“The 500 companies on this list all have something in common: They understand what consumers want now,” says Entrepreneur editor in chief Jason Feifer. “Making our lists means they’re forward-thinking, nimble and closely in touch with their customers’ needs — because, in an ever-changing business environment, that’s what a franchise must do to thrive.”
The most important factors that go into Entrepreneur’s evaluation include costs and fees, size and growth, support, brand strength, and financial strength and stability. All franchises are scored based on more than 150 data points, and the 500 franchises with the highest cumulative totals become the Franchise 500 in ranking order.
The full 2020 Franchise 500 ranking is available in the January/February issue of Entrepreneur, available now at newsstands and online at https://www.entrepreneur.com/franchise500.
