House Doctors Celebrates Milestones, Relationships and Accomplishments at 2020 Annual Convention

Professional Home Improvement Business Brings Franchise System Together to Commemorate Achievements from Past Year

April 14, 2020 // Franchising.com // MILFORD, Ohio - House Doctors, the trusted source for home repair and home improvement, recently celebrated significant systemwide achievements and set the stage for the year ahead at its annual franchisee convention in Orlando, Florida.

Themed “Adventure Awaits!”, the convention assembled franchisees from coast to coast to reconnect, share industry trends and master new resources in breakout sessions. With a wide range of customer demographics and variety of work from small jobs to light remodeling and commercial opportunities, franchisees across the system were mixed in groups of more-seasoned franchisees with newer franchisees to build relationships, share insights and exchange resources.

“We’ve put so many great things in place this past year to help drive the business and improve the customer experience. Our franchisee community has been the backbone of our efforts, and we’re excited to honor their achievements from the past year,” said Jim Hunter, president of House Doctors. “As a company, it is important to take a moment to stop, reflect and celebrate accomplishments. We look forward to building on our momentum and what’s to come next in 2020.”

Shawn McCadden, a remodeling industry consultant and well-known industry speaker, delivered the convention’s keynote speech, sharing how remodelers can grow their business and the benefits of creating a ladder for promotions as remodelers continually grow their business. With over 30 years of experience, McCadden also offered insight into industry trends over the past year and stressed the importance of building your business to create a schema that sets the culture for the business.

Honoring the many franchisee successes, an awards dinner was held to celebrate the accomplishments of the system’s highest-performing franchisees in 2019. Several were awarded the ‘2019 Sales Increase’ award. Mark Boyd of Evans, Georgia received the ‘See you at the Top’ award; Tony Woods of Johnson City, Tennessee was presented the ‘212º Award’; and Doug Coyle of Andover, Massachusetts took home the title of ‘Franchisee of the Year’ as well as the ‘Top Achiever’ award. Attendees also participated in team building exercises where they competed for the chance to win the highly coveted ‘Golden Hammer Award’.

The three-day event ended with a final round of breakout sessions, team challenge and systemwide lunch. To wrap it all up, the group then headed to Disney Springs on a chartered coach to celebrate their hard work with a little play before heading back home to apply their learnings and continue the pursuit of even stronger growth in 2020.
