Fred Astaire Dance Studios Return to Atlanta

The most famous name in ballroom dance lessons will open a new studio in ‘The ATL’ this summer with plans for more in the coming years

May 05, 2020 // Franchising.com // Atlanta, Ga. - Fred Astaire Dance Studios®, the world leader in ballroom dance lessons with more than 150 studios worldwide, today announced plans to expand into Atlanta with a new studio opening planned for late summer, 2020. It will be the first of many Fred Astaire Dance Studios to open in Atlanta over the next several years.

Fred Astaire Dance Studios Atlanta Metro Region will be developed by Tim and Kristin Brooks, professional ballroom dance instructors and former studio owners with more than 25 years of experience with Fred Astaire Dance Studios. The couple is actively exploring locations for the studio with an announcement expected this summer.

“Atlanta is an incredible and diverse city with lots of enthusiasm for the timeless art of ballroom dancing,” Tim said, “Kristin and I are very excited to bring Fred Astaire Dance Studios back to Atlanta in 2020, with more to come throughout Northwest Georgia in the near future.”

Fred Astaire Dance Studios President and CEO Luann Pulliam said, “For over 71 years, Fred Astaire Dance Studios has been teaching the world to dance. We’re so excited to welcome Tim and Kristin to our family of area representatives, and can’t wait to meet everyone in Northwest Georgia.”

Fred Astaire Dance Studios carries a roster of more than 70 world-class ballroom dance professionals that travel to studios around the country, including “Dancing With the Stars” legend Tony Dovolani, who serves as national dance director for the franchise.

Co-founded in 1947 by the legendary Fred Astaire, Fred Astaire Dance Studios set the standard of excellence in dance instruction. They feature ballroom and Latin style dance lessons for all ages and abilities in a fun, friendly atmosphere. Their unique method of instruction allows students to learn dances from the Foxtrot to Salsa faster and more easily than they could anywhere else.
