LaRosa’s Team Member Relief Fund: Over $ 450,000 Raised In Less Than 7 Weeks

Program Benefits Nearly 4,000 Team Members in 65 Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana Pizzerias And Their Families

May 20, 2020 // Franchising.com // CINCINNATI, OHIO - The LaRosa Family and LaRosa’s Family Pizzerias launched the LaRosa’s Team Member Relief Fund with $100,000 in early April. Over the last six and a half weeks, the fund has grown to $ 454,330 through Buddy Card sales and cash donations from LaRosa’s guests; as well as a dollar-for-dollar match by The LaRosa Family. The Relief Fund was designed to directly support LaRosa’s Family Pizzeria’s nearly 4,000 pizzeria team members and their families, until LaRosa’s dining rooms reopened after state-mandated closures. Most LaRosa’s dining rooms will open on June 1.

“Our commitment to our pizzeria Team Members and their families has not waned and we are doing one last push to raise as much as possible for them”, said Michael LaRosa, CEO, LaRosa’s, Inc. The Buddy Card sale that helps feed The LaRosa’s Team Member Relief Fund will continue through closing on Sunday, May 31. “In the next week and a half, particularly with our dining rooms beginning to open, we believe our Guests will rally around our Team Members and their families”, he continued. 100% of the proceeds from LaRosa’s $10 Buddy Card sales go directly to the Team Member Relief Fund.

The Buddy Card features 14 ‘buy-one large pizza and get a large cheese pizza free’ offers for pick up and dine in and is valid for a year. Guests and the community-at-large can buy Buddy Cards at LaRosa’s pizzerias in person. Or, Guests can add a Buddy Card to an order when using the LaRosa’s app. LaRosa’s will also bring a newly- purchased card along with a delivery order. Guests who would like to simply donate to the Team Member Relief Fund can donate directly through the app, by calling or online.

LaRosa’s has offered something to help guests make it through the lockdown, too. Now through May 31, 2020, when Guests use any active Buddy Card- newly purchased or one that is months old- just like they usually do, LaRosa’s will not deduct any offers from the Buddy Card.
