Gold’s Gym Franchisee Acquires Jackson Sport and Fitness in Jackson, Tennessee

Gold’s Gym Tennessee franchise group enhances its footprint in Jackson by merging its current Jackson membership with existing membership of newly-acquired, updated gym

June 29, 2020 // Franchising.com // JACKSON, TENN. - Local Gold’s Gym franchise group Gold’s Gym Tennessee recently acquired Jackson Sport and Fitness, a 30,000-square-foot gym space located at 1068 Vann Drive in Jackson, Tennessee. As part of this acquisition, effective July 4 Gold’s Gym Jackson is closing its gym at 106 Carriage House Drive and transferring those members to the newly-acquired space at Vann Drive, which will now become Gold’s Gym Jackson. Gold’s Gym Tennessee will continue to honor all memberships from the former Jackson Sport and Fitness gym at the newly converted Gold’s Gym Jackson location.

“The gym at 106 Carriage House Drive has undergone many changes since its 1978 debut, but what has not changed is the sense of family, community and charity that’s been fostered by our Gold’s Gym team and our members there,” said Robert Dennis, co-owner of Gold’s Gym Tennessee. “As part of our continued mission to give the communities we serve the best fitness experience possible, we’re excited to move our Jackson Gold’s Gym home to the larger, more updated space at 1068 Vann Drive. This is an opportunity to expand our family, to share our unique culture and to begin an exciting new chapter for Gold’s Gym Jackson.”

Following the merging of the two gyms, members of the former Jackson Sport and Fitness gym will have their memberships automatically upgraded to Gold’s Gym’s VIP Level membership, which gives members unlimited access to all current and any future gym amenities made available at the new Gold’s Gym Jackson.

In the coming months, the former Jackson Sport and Fitness facility will be revamped to fit the Gold’s Gym experience through the addition of new state-of-the-art equipment, various reconfigurations to the workout space and more. The Gold’s Gym Tennessee franchise group - led by ownership partners Robert Dennis, John Davis and Andrew Davis - intends to make this Jackson facility a shining example of what Gold’s Gym members in Tennessee have come to expect from the group’s 14 other facilities currently open and operating across the state.

To celebrate its entry to the global Gold’s Gym network and to welcome members from the merging gyms to their new fitness home, Gold’s Gym Jackson is hosting a socially distanced gathering at the Vann Drive facility this coming Saturday, July 4, from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. The gym welcomes all Jackson residents to attend to enjoy 4th of July snacks and beverages in the gym parking lot, as well as to take advantage of limited-time membership deals offered as part of the gym merger.
