Window World Earns Ranking in Prestigious Industry List

Franchise Times Includes Window World in its Top 200+ List and Features Company in Magazine

NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. (PRWEB) November 05, 2020 - Window World®, America’s largest replacement window and exterior remodeling company, is proud to announce its inclusion in one of the franchise industry’s most prestigious lists. The Franchise Times Top 200+® is an annual ranking of the 500 largest U.S. franchise brands.

Window World was ranked number 123 in the latest list, breaking into the top 200 for the first time.

Franchise Times highlighted Window World’s outstanding performance with a feature article in its October publication. The article shares the story of Window World CEO and Chairman Tammy Whitworth and the company’s path to becoming a leading franchise.

“We just pride ourselves on being honest and transparent,” Whitworth says in the article. “That was the beauty of how Window World was founded.”

In the article, Whitworth explains how her first move upon becoming the Window World CEO was to form a board of directors. They had been close advisors to her late husband Todd, who was the previous CEO. The board decided to convert Window World to franchising in 2011 to gain consistency around the country.

The Franchise Times Top 200+ shows that the 200 largest U.S.-based franchisors grew their combined annual sales by more than $30 billion, or 4.5 percent, last year, to $702.9 billion. Most categories saw across-the-board gains from the previous year

The ranking is the result of a five-month research and reporting effort that leads to the most credible and objective franchise ranking available, said Franchise Times Editor Laura Michaels. The collection of systemwide sales data also provides useful insight into the franchise industry’s pre-COVID-19 performance.

The Franchise Times Top 200+ analyzes industry sectors based on percentage change in sales growth. The list is the result of a five-month research process that evaluates a combination of companies’ voluntary reports and publicly available date.
