International Metal Supplier Celebrates Victors in Eighth Metal Customization Contest

November 10, 2020 // Franchising.com // MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - Metal Supermarkets, the world’s largest supplier of small-quantity metals, announced today the winners of the eighth annual Metal My Way contest.

Pitting skilled welders, fabricators, metal-workers and artists against one another to compete for seven different top honors, the Metal My Way contest provides an opportunity for metal professionals and hobbyists alike to showcase their creativity through inventive projects. Earlier this year, entrants were asked to submit a photo or video of their project for a chance to win. Vying for two grand prizes – one for the best overall project and one for the best demonstration of processing - and top placement in one of five categories, participants submitted entries to: car builds and restorations; vehicle projects; artistic and design projects; and furniture, industrial and shop, and home projects. Haco, Swift-Cut and Cosen Saws sponsored the contest, with Metal Supermarkets as the title sponsor.

“Metal My Way proudly honors the amazing work of talented metal enthusiasts and trades people across North America, who we feel deserve to receive more attention,” said Stephen Schober, President and CEO of Metal Supermarkets. “We believe it is important to elevate awareness of the talent that resides within the various trade professions in the communities we serve and beyond. This is a creative way to bring about that recognition.”

The winning submissions were chosen based on criteria such as complexity, intricacy, creativity, uniqueness, craftsmanship, quality of metal used and skill required. In addition to grand prizes for the Best Overall Project and Best Processing, top honors were given to submissions in each of five categories.
