Former Kumon Assistant to Become Center Director

Kumon of Prosper - Windsong Ranch Aims to Instill a Love for Learning in Area Youth

December 04, 2020 // Franchising.com // FRISCO, Texas - Tejeswi Vennapusa joined Kumon two years ago as an assistant at her local Kumon Center. The experience helped her realize not only the passion she had for teaching kids, but also allowed her to explore the possibility of opening a center of her own.

Today, Vennapusa has achieved that goal, and as the new owner and Instructor of Kumon of Prosper - Windsong Ranch,, she hopes to provide academic confidence and growth in her own students.

“Working as an assistant at a Kumon Center opened my eyes to how much students’ learning abilities can differ, as well as how Kumon can genuinely help,” said Tejeswi Vennapusa, owner and Instructor of Kumon of Prosper - Windsong Ranch. “I’m also a Kumon mom, and have seen my daughter become more confident with each and every Kumon class she attends.”

Working at her local Kumon Center inspired Vennapusa to take the first steps to get started on becoming a Kumon Franchisee. It’s an attractive business opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs with a passion for education, as up to $36,000 in startup cost assistance is available, along with an extensive network of support.

Kumon is a supplemental education program that aims to unlock students’ full potential by increasing academic independence, confidence, and study skills. Through daily worksheet study, students enrolled in Kumon often end up mastering material far beyond grade level.

“I’m looking forward to establishing my center as a positive place that fosters a love for learning in the community,” said Vennapusa “I have no doubt that my students will be just as successful as what I witnessed during my time as a Kumon assistant.”
