Pizza with a Purpose Fundraiser exceeds expectations

February 09, 2021 // Franchising.com // Medina, Ohio - Pizza with a Purpose, the statewide fundraiser to benefit the Ohio Restaurant Association’s Employee Relief Fund ended with Romeo’s Pizza customers showing their support in grand style. The promotion was simple - $1 was donated for every pepperoni pizza sold from January 25-January 31 at over 100 participating locations throughout the state.

“We are proud to support our fellow foodservice employees through Pizza with a Purpose and are encouraged that all forty Romeo’s Pizza restaurants throughout the state participated,” said Ryan Rose CEO, Romeo’s Pizza. “We would like to thank our legion of loyal fans and Franchise Partners who became Local Pizza Champions during this promotion and came together to support a great initiative”.

One of the company’s Core Values is to positively impact our communities through local give back initiatives. Because of the generosity of Ohio residents, the Pizza with a Purpose Fundraiser exceeded Romeo’s Pizza expectations and the brand will be sending a five-figure donation to the Ohio Restaurant Association Employee Relief Fund.

The Ohio Restaurant Employee Relief Fund was created by the Ohio Restaurant Association Education Foundation (ORAEF), a 501(c)(3), in collaboration with the Ohio Restaurant Association (ORA), to activate emergency funding for personnel in the foodservice industry who have been affected by COVID- 19. Since its launch in April 2020, the fund has awarded more than 1,100 grants and raised more than $350,000 for employees in need.
