Best Dang Biscuit Franchise Inks Tennessee Area Representative Deal
Rise Southern Biscuits and Righteous Chicken announces area development deal in Tennessee as brand continues nationwide expansion
March 11, 2021 // Franchising.com // DURHAM, N.C. - Rise Southern Biscuits and Righteous Chicken today announced an area development agreement for the state of Tennessee that extensively increases franchise expansion opportunities. Area development representative, Fred Fordin, has committed to opening a minimum of 15 Rise locations throughout Tennessee over the next five years, and already has two locations up and running.
“The State of Tennessee is lacking in breakfast options in the fast casual space, and I felt Rise was the perfect concept to bring to the area,” said franchisee Fred Fordin. “Rise is a homerun in any environment. Even with the decrease in tourism, the locals still want their chicken biscuit delivered right to their home.”
His two locations in Nashville and Germantown, Tennessee, have managed to maintain momentum and growth through the COVID-19 pandemic. This is due, in part, to the Rise rebranding initiative that was led by Rise Founder Tom Ferguson.
“I realized the future of QSR was moving towards online orders and delivery, so we leaned into technology and online ordering,” said Ferguson. “We implemented these changes in all of our franchise locations by the end of February 2020, so we were in good condition when the pandemic hit.”
“With prime real-estate availability, attractive lease options and a protocol to convert existing units quickly and inexpensively, now more than ever is the time to invest in a brand like Rise,” said Dan Rowe, CEO of Fransmart.
