Innovative Snack Category Leader Offers No Strings Attached Free Pretzel Across the Country
April 22, 2021 // Franchising.com // PASADENA, Calif. - Break free! Wetzel’s Pretzels (Wetzel’s) is breaking free in 2021 with a free freshly-baked pretzel for all guests after 3 p.m. on Monday, April 26.
2020 brought the world to a stop but people are ready to get out and about safely again. Wetzel’s is ready to help guests break free by offering its celebratory free pretzel for National Pretzel Day. Reclaiming the day as National Wetzel’s Day, Wetzel’s owns the best pretzels in the industry and to prove it, it’s offering guests a free pretzel after 3 p.m. at all participating locations nationwide.
“National Wetzel’s Day is cause for celebration! We’re breaking free from the blues of last year with the golden glow of our freshly-baked pretzels,” said Jennifer Schuler, CEO of Wetzel’s Pretzels. “We’d like to invite everyone who wants to get out and celebrate by finding their nearest Wetzel’s location and grabbing a free pretzel on us. Because - let’s be honest - you can’t celebrate National Pretzel Day without Wetzel’s.”
The fun doesn’t stop after April 26. With a scrumptious blend of pretzel products, fans of the brand can always choose between classic favorites like Cin-A-Bitz or the twisted take on pretzel perfection like Wetzel dogs, before washing it down with a fresh ice-cold lemonade.
At the onset of the pandemic, Wetzel’s immediately rolled out safety measures at all locations. Savvy snack supporters can freely dip, bite and sip their favorite Wetzel’s options knowing that the team members will use gloves or tongs when handling food, provide condiments from behind the counter and encourage touchless transactions. Each change was made with the safety of guests and employees in mind to uphold the brand’s “We Bake Safe” promise.
