United Country Real Estate Named Top Recession-Proof Franchise

Company Demonstrated Strong Sales and Support in 2020

April 27, 2021 // Franchising.com // KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Franchise Business Review announced that United Country Real Estate is a Top Recession-Proof Franchise. They are one of just 100 companies included in this prestigious honor, and will be featured in Franchise Business Review’s list of best recession-proof franchises to start.

The 2020 recession was just one of many recessions United Country conquered in its 95-year history. These include the Great Depression - which began a few years after the company was founded in 1925 - and the Great Recession from 2007 - 2009.

“As a company, we had an outstanding 2020 despite it being a highly unorthodox year,” said Mike Duffy, president of United Country Real Estate. “So, this particular award is especially important because it lets our franchisees know that they are backed by a strong company and, just as important, our clients know they can count on our agents even during tough times.”

Franchise Business Review provides the only national ranking of franchises based solely on franchisee satisfaction and performance data on a yearly basis. The survey shows United Country’s affiliates are highly satisfied with the company’s performance. United Country again achieved top scores in training and support, leadership and company core values.

“Franchising has historically performed well in a recession, and for people seeking to be their own boss, the recession-proof businesses we identified this year not only have outstanding satisfaction among their owners, but we feel they hold a strong advantage to outperform their competitors in the years ahead,” said Eric Stites, CEO of Franchise Business Review.

For the award, the company’s franchisees were surveyed on 33 benchmark questions about their experience and satisfaction regarding critical areas of their franchise systems, including training and support, operations, franchisor/franchisee relations, financial opportunity and work/life balance.
