SoBol Opens Its 50th Franchise Location and First In North Carolina

Acai Bowl and Smoothie Bar Marks the Milestone Opening By Looking To The Future

May 12, 2021 // Franchising.com // CARY, North Carolina - SoBol opened the doors to its 50th location nationwide. The Long Island based acai bowl and smoothie shop brings with it a new fresh and healthy dining option to North Carolina.

The new store’s owners, Jenny and Lloyd Goldstein, are excited to embark on this new journey and have plans to open two more locations in the Triangle region. “We’re very excited to be able to open the 50th SoBol location here in North Carolina,” said Jenny Goldstein. “Cary has really welcomed us and we’re excited to be able to become part of the community. They’ve already given us so much and we look forward to giving back as well.”

The occasion was marked with an appearance by pro boxer Mike Dempsey, live music by local musician Jason Adamo, as well as free acai bowls and raffle prizes. Also in attendance was SoBol’s Brand President & Director of Operations, Paul Gucciardo. “Expanding to a new state is always exciting,” said Gucciardo. “We’re reaching an entirely new audience and we’re seeing first-hand the Southern hospitality that everyone talks about. The community has completely embraced us and we look forward to continuing to grow in this area.”

Around 200 attendees made it out to the Grand Opening while staying socially distant and adhering to Covid-safety protocols. “We formed this partnership with the Goldstein’s pre-Covid and while we had our bumps along the way as every industry did, it only made the process more rewarding,” said SoBol CEO Jason Mazzarone. “Now we have an excited community, a fired-up franchisee, and a beautiful store and can’t wait to open the next SoBol in North Carolina.”
