Thousands of Veterans and Supporters Take American Flag on Epic Journey

Window World Presents the Team RWB Old Glory Relay; 5,000 Supporters Carry Flag Through 9 States

NORTH WILKESBORO, N.C. (PRWEB) July 07, 2021 - On September 11, 2021, an epic journey will begin in which thousands of participants will carry the American flag from New York to Georgia. The Old Glory Relay supports America’s veterans by helping them find lasting fulfillment through the creation of deep bonds with other veterans and civilian supporters.

Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB) organized the national event annually from 2014 to 2018 to show support for veterans. Window World, America’s largest replacement window and exterior remodeling company, is proud to present the Team RWB Old Glory Relay this year, returning after a two-year hiatus in recognition of the 20th anniversary of 9/11. MI Windows and Doors is also a sponsor of the event.

The relay will begin on September 11 in New York City and will culminate in Atlanta on Veterans Day, November 11, 2021. The event unites American veterans and civilian supporters in honor of those who serve our country and keep us safe. Veterans and supporters are invited to run a portion of Team RWB’s 62-day Old Glory Relay as the event moves through nine states (including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia) and Washington D.C.

“Window World is thrilled to present the Team RWB Old Glory Relay and to show our support for America’s veterans,” says Window World CEO and Chairman Tammy Whitworth. “Our veterans served our country with pride, and this is one way we can show our appreciation and respect for their service.”

Participants have the option to join shadow runs in areas with a Team RWB chapter. They can also register as a virtual participant.

“Team RWB is forging America’s leading health and wellness community for veterans,” says Mike Erwin, Executive Director of Team RWB. “The Old Glory Relay is a patriotic way to pursue our mission as we pass an American flag that will ultimately connect thousands of Americans and countless communities over its nearly 1,000-mile journey. We thank Window World for their support of this impactful event and for their dedication to veterans, service members and their families.”

Window World and its franchisees embrace veterans and their families through its Window World Military Initiative, a company-wide pledge to honor and serve America’s veterans, active military and military families. The Window World Military Initiative focuses on three pillars: careers, community outreach and partnerships.
