Buff City Soap Opens First Soap Makery in Sarasota

Experiential retailer continues expansion throughout Florida

July 27, 2021 // Franchising.com // SARASOTA, FL - Buff City Soap - a retail franchise known for its handmade, plant based soap and body products made in-store daily - is opening its first Sarasota location. The new store will be located at 192 N Cattlemen Rd Unit 3, in The Mall at University Town Center, and is slated to open July 29.

The first 50 people who visit the new Sarasota store Thursday, July 29 - Sunday, August 1, will receive free soap for a year. The Sarasota Makery is just the start of the brand’s expansion throughout Florida. A makery is expected to open in Tampa later this fall and Seminole in 2022, followed by additional locations in the future.

“We are excited to bring the Buff City Soap experience to the Tampa Bay and Sarasota area,” said Brooke Sizemore, Brand Sales Manager.

Founded in 2013, Buff City Soap has created a high-quality alternative to commercial soap products full of harsh chemicals, detergents, animal fats and sulfates. By giving customers the chance to see the whole making process live in each Soap Makery, Buff City Soap is disrupting the consumer goods industry by focusing on transparency of ingredients and process.

“We know the community will continue to flock into Buff City Soap and fall in love with our products, just as we have,” stated Sizemore.

Each Buff City Soap store offers more than 30 unique and customizable scents across dozens of handcrafted soap products; including its famous soap bars, bath bombs, foaming hand soap and even laundry soap. The brand’s products are crafted by local artisans at the in-store Makeries, which allow guests to customize the scent and ingredients used in the process to create a unique scent profile.

The Sarasota location hours will be Monday-Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
