Superfood Café Celebrates 53rd National Franchise Opening

September 14, 2021 // Franchising.com // YARDLEY, Pennsylvania - The Bucks County town of Yardley could not be more excited to be the home of the latest SoBol franchise shop, located at 25 S. Main Street.  SoBol, famous for their fresh-made acai bowls and smoothies, is capturing a large following throughout the country as a healthy food franchise.

There has been great anticipation leading up to the grand opening of the latest SoBol location by residents of the quaint Pennsylvania town, located about 30 miles outside of Philadelphia. This is now SoBol’s fourth location in Pennsylvania. The grand opening drew a crowd of about 300 customers eager to enjoy great music provided by a local DJ, plus opening day promotions including half off all menu items from noon through 2pm.

Franchise owner Todd Stecker is pleased to bring this healthy food concept to his local community. “I learned about SoBol because I am a native Long Islander, and that’s where the brand began. I was hoping that opening a SoBol here in Yardley would be a good investment, but I had no idea it was going to be this good.”

Todd says his shop has been very busy since its opening and is generating a lot of buzz in Yardley for two reasons, “first, I think, we grabbed a great location in a shopping center across the street from our town’s favorite restaurant called, The Vault. Secondly, I partnered with a great growing brand providing people with healthy food choices that they are looking for.”

Todd, his wife, and 2-year-old child live near Yardley, and decided to enlist with the SoBol franchise as a great investment opportunity. Thanks to the great training provided by the brand, Todd felt more than ready for this opportunity. “I learned so much from the folks at SoBol about this business. They are the experts and they want their franchisees to do well. Training has been top notch as well as the on-going support.”

SoBol provides franchisees with an intensive two-week corporate training, educating new owners about managing their locations as well as extensive marketing, point of sale, accounting and technology systems, designed to ensure profitability.

The Yardley, Pennsylvania location is enjoying success and Todd believes it’s because of the brand’s simplicity. “This is a quality product. SoBol’s bowls and smoothies are made with the freshest ingredients including fruits and vegetables from local farms. Healthy food made with care, quality and quickness is the recipe for success. That coupled with the great community environment in our café means we are here to stay.”

That is exactly the sentiment of SoBol founders Jason Mazzarone and Jim Kalomiris. “When you make a good product that people know is high quality and they can depend on, you create a niche in the community,” remarks Mazzarone. “I am so proud that the brand is growing, thanks to franchise owners like Todd!”
