Pet Evolution Kicks Off Expansion with Arizona

Dog food & supply brand signs first development deal to date

September 29, 2021 // Franchising.com // PHOENIX, Arizona - While many businesses are halting expansion efforts, a Minnesota-based franchise is taking strides to bring its wellness-focused pet brand to Arizona. Pet Evolution, a locally owned, healthy pet supply store dedicated to providing the highest quality products, shaking up the pet industry. The brand has just signed a development deal to bring 25 new locations ranging from Scottsdale to Tucson, in the next 10 years.

With two locations currently open in its home state of Minnesota, the franchise is making its first entry into Arizona. The expansion efforts will be led by franchising titans Tammi Veater and Aleshia McNamara, who are eyeing metropolitan areas, including Phoenix, Sedona, and Scottsdale.

“Pet Evolution is a brand we are really excited to become a part of as we resonate with the standard of pet care they provide,” Veater said. “With my experience in franchising, I’ve seen brands that are more interested in growth than contributing to their prospective communities, but after getting to know Pet Evolution it became very clear that they are a brand with passion.”

Prior to joining Pet Evolution, Veater built her reputation in franchising with over 20 years of experience working with several brands, most recently developing the Chicago Region for Massage ENVY for 47 clinic locations. McNamara brings a background in insurance, owning her own agency along with her husband, Pat, interfacing with over 50 franchise brands for 40 years collectively. With Veater being an Arizona native, the duo is confident in their ability to position their future franchisees to achieve incredible success.

Pet Evolution was founded in 2012 by friends Rian Thiele and Mike Osborn, both having watched their childhood dogs suffer through the itchy paws, chronic ear infections, and multiple vet trips of undiagnosed food allergies.

Pet Evolution began franchising after Peter Carlson, President of Pet Evolution Franchising, LLC, fell in love with the brand, remains a loyal customer to this day. Before joining the team, Peter turned to Pet Evolution as his Standard Poodle, Leo, struggled with digestive and allergy issues, following countless tries with other products with no results. After switching to products endorsed by their team, Peter immediately saw positive results to help his dog live a happier life.
