Spherion Staffing Launches Annual Community Giveback Program

November 11, 2021 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA - Spherion Staffing and Recruiting (Spherion) is focused on giving back this holiday season with the announcement of its annual Community Giveback Program. Throughout the holiday season, Spherion’s local offices will distribute over $160,000 to nonprofit organizations making a difference in more than one hundred local communities nationwide.

The annual Spherion Community Giveback Program will kick off in early November and run through the holiday season with the goal of spreading the giving spirit through contributions dispersed across the communities where Spherion operates. The campaign also aims to highlight the efforts of organizations that are creating change in their communities. Each of Spherion’s offices will select a local nonprofit to donate $500-$1000 and may also fundraise or volunteer their time.

“At its core, Spherion is an organization dedicated to bettering the communities it serves,” said Rebecca Rogers Tijerino, President of Spherion Staffing. “Our local franchisees do this on a daily basis by connecting job seekers with fulfilling employment opportunities to help businesses and their communities grow. Our giveback program puts the donation decision in the hands of our local franchisees who know firsthand how their communities will benefit from our giving. It’s rewarding for our teams to spread some joy to hardworking and deserving organizations across the country.”

Spherion’s Community Giveback Program began in 2014 and has donated more than $1 million to nonprofits nationwide throughout the years. The charities vary in size, scope, and cause and are selected based on their ongoing efforts to create change in their local communities. Some organizations that will receive contributions include the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, along with local food banks, schools, and animal shelters. Aside from monetary donations, Spherion’s local teams have ongoing partnerships and volunteer their time with a wide variety of these organizations.

Along with the Community Giveback Program, Spherion is committed to helping local client companies optimize productivity and get job seekers back to work as jobs are resurfacing.
