School Of Rock Santa Ana Is Ready To Rock N’ Roll

Santa Ana grand opening to include guitar smashing, live performances, a local food truck and more.

November 16, 2021 // Franchising.com // SANTA ANA, Calif. - School of Rock, a performance-based music education franchise, announces the grand opening of a new school in Santa Ana, California. The event will take place at 2620 S. Bristol St., Santa Ana, Calif., from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. PDT, on Sunday, Nov. 21. Along with a ceremonial guitar smashing (School of Rock’s version of a ribbon-cutting), the event will offer a live performance by the Huntington Beach House Band, a local taco truck, vendors and fun activities.

School of Rock Santa Ana is owned by Christopher and Maki Kopp. Chris has had a lifelong passion for music and has had the opportunity to tour the world with the United States Navy Band. After leaving active duty in 2018, he went back to school using the GI Bill and earned a Master’s in Organizational Psychology. At the same time, Maki earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology as well. School of Rock provided the perfect opportunity for them to combine their love of music with a study of business psychology.

"School of Rock is a place for everyone with a passion for music, friendship, and fun. We set ourselves apart with our amazing faculty, song-first teaching methods, and performance-based education,” said Christopher Kopp. “We are so excited to share our passion, experience, and knowledge with our students and families."

School of Rock provides students of all ages an exciting and engaging music lesson experience, which includes bass lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, drum lessons, and piano lessons. Drawing from all styles of rock and roll, School of Rock students learn theory and techniques via songs from legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Lenny Kravitz, and Led Zeppelin. Thanks to the school’s performance-based approach, students around the world have gained superior musical proficiency, with some moving on to record deals and larger platforms such as American Idol, The Voice and Broadway.

“Christopher and Maki are exactly the type of people we look for to lead a School of Rock franchise,” said Rob Price, CEO of School of Rock. “They are passionate about their community and eager to provide opportunities for students to further their music education. I look forward to watching School of Rock Santa Ana grow as their students thrive.”
