Wetzel’s Pretzels Named to Prestigious List of America’s Top Franchises

Known for inspiring handheld happiness with its mouth-watering, portable snacks, Wetzel’s has recently earned a spot as one of the top 400 franchise concepts in the country. Franchise Times has ranked it on the publication’s “Top 400” list, a reflection of the revenue growth Wetzel’s has driven over the past year.

Previously the Top 200+, Franchise Times renamed its annual ranking of the 400 largest U.S.- based franchise systems by global systemwide sales to better encompass the biggest brands in franchising as well as promising young concepts in growth mode. The rigorous approach to research remains the same, according to Franchise Times Editor-in-Chief Laura Michaels. The project is the result of a five-month research and reporting effort that led to the most credible and objective franchise ranking available.

Wetzel’s takes pride in its fun-loving, West Coast attitude, bringing communities together through its salty and sweet treats. Since its founding in Pasadena, California 25 years ago, Wetzel’s has put a twist on tradition, expanding into innovative new avenues in an effort to provide fresh pretzels to snack enthusiasts.

Likewise, the brand has enhanced its growth into non-traditional venues through partnerships with premier companies such as Walmart and Phillips 66.
