Company Elevates Two Long-Time Executives to Chief Financial Officer & Chief People Officer

January 05, 2022 // Franchising.com // CINCINNATI, OHIO - LaRosa’s, Inc. has named Steve Browne, SHRM-SCP, its Chief People Officer and Suzie Pfeiffer, CPA, CGMA, has been elevated to Chief Financial Officer.

For fifteen years, Steve Browne, a Society for Human Resources Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), has worked tirelessly to provide strategic leadership to the entire LaRosa’s team. Mr. Browne has assumed human resource roles of increasing importance at LaRosa’s, starting as Executive Director of HR, and promoted to Vice President of HR in 2018. As Chief People Officer, he fosters a people-first culture across the entire LaRosa’s organization, with a focus on organizational design, development and oversight of all HR functions. “Steve has made such a tremendous difference in every aspect of what is our biggest asset – our team members”, noted Michael LaRosa, CEO, LaRosa’s, Inc. “He has shown us how critical HR can be in influencing positive change in business and to the bottom line”, LaRosa continued. Prior to his roles at LaRosa’s, Mr. Browne was Director of HR at CDS Associates, a civil engineering firm. He is actively involved in Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) serving as an At-Large Member of the Board of Directors. An HR thought-leader, Mr. Browne has nearly 30,000 followers on LinkedIn and is the celebrated author of two books on human resource management.

As Chief Financial Officer, Ms. Pfeiffer is responsible for driving LaRosa’s financial and business planning, forecasting, risk management and overall financial strategies. “Suzie is a true partner in our business – we consider her a member of the family. She’s a consummate professional and a creative problem solver who has been integral to our growth over time”, said Michael LaRosa. She has spent the majority of her career in finance roles with LaRosa’s, where she was hired as Executive Director of Finance and named Vice President of Finance in 2014. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Ms. Pfeiffer began her career at Deloitte after graduating with a Bachelor of Science from John Carroll University. She also held finance management roles for several multi-national companies including Navision Software, a Danish company that was acquired by Microsoft, where she contributed to the growth of the firm’s North American presence. After living in Cleveland and Atlanta for professional roles, Ms. Pfeiffer, who is originally from Cincinnati and grew up on Boudinot Avenue near LaRosa’s first pizzeria, returned to Cincinnati working remotely for Microsoft, before beginning her career at LaRosa’s. With a focus on her local community, she has served for nearly a decade as a member of St. Ursula Academy’s Board of Trustees, as well as various committee roles, and continues to serve as a vital member of its finance committee.
