Hydrate IV Bar Announces Franchise Growth In Arizona And Texas

Opening this summer, both IV therapy spas will mark second-location expansion for company’s first two franchisees

March 03, 2022 // Franchising.com // DENVER - Hydrate IV Bar, a collection of IV therapy spas based in Colorado, will open two new franchise locations this summer - one in Scottsdale, Arizona, and another in Dallas, Texas. These openings will be the second spas for each of the company’s first two franchisees, both of whom signed on just after Hydrate IV Bar announced its franchising program 18 months ago.

“We’ve loved partnering with our original two franchise groups. They have been such great additions to our team,” said Katie Wafer, Hydrate IV Bar founder and CEO. “It’s incredibly rewarding to see both groups grow so quickly.”

After successfully opening five locations in her home state of Colorado Colorado, Wafer — alongside managing partners Amy Dickerson and Chad Grote — launched Hydrate IV Bar’s franchise program in 2020. Despite the economic instability following the global pandemic, the team was still able to open two franchises in the months that followed.

“Our ability to grow under these conditions is a testament to how sustainable the wellness industry remains within today’s market,” added managing partner Amy Dickerson. “People are more committed than ever to boosting their health and immunity, and we’re happy that Hydrate IV Bar has become a place that many turn to for that.”

The franchise expansion began when Brendan Charles and Blair Ramsing opened Hydrate IV Bar’s first franchise spa in fall 2020 in Fort Collins, Colorado. After a successful first year, they are eager to expand into Texas with a spa in Dallas’ Highland Park neighborhood this summer.

Hydrate IV Bar’s second franchise was opened in Arcadia, Arizona, in early 2021 by Danielle Withycombe, Mary Butterfield and Stephen Butterfield. As long-time Arizona residents, they knew they wanted to expand their franchise footprint in the Phoenix-Scottsdale area within weeks of seeing their community’s response to their first spa.

“The brand was so well received in Arizona that we wanted to keep riding that wave and expand across the area,” said franchise owner and manager Danielle Withycombe.

Following the Arizona and Texas openings this summer, Hydrate IV Bar will open another spa closer to home in Colorado, with a new franchise group that officially joined the team as of March 1. Jessica Hackney, a registered nurse that has worked in the Hydrate IV Bar corporate stores for two years, will open a location of her own with husband Don Pingley in the Lone Tree or Highlands Ranch area before the end of the year.

“When we first started the franchise planning process, one of my biggest dreams for the future was to empower one of our nurses to open a location of their own,” Wafer said. “We wouldn’t be where we are without these incredible RNs in our corner. I know Jessica and her team will be a wonderful addition to our franchise family.”
