SafeSplash+SwimLabs Heralds New Deals, Territories Across the U.S.

March 04, 2022 // Franchising.com // DENVER - SafeSplash+SwimLabs and Swimtastic franchises experienced a year of growth in 2021, capping off a banner year for parent company Streamline Brands. 

The SafeSplash+SwimLabs and Swimtastic swim school franchises have now expanded to include new or enhanced presence in the cities of Memphis, Tenn., Denver, Colo., Bend, Ore., Scarsdale, New York, San Diego, Calif., Waukee, Iowa, and Omaha, Neb. 

“We’re extremely pleased with the rate of growth and expansion we achieved this past year,” said Matt Lane, CEO of Streamline Brands. “Accomplishing what we’ve done in spite of the ongoing pandemic is a credit to the hard work and dedication of both our corporate and franchising partners. As a fundamental life skill, the service of teaching children and young adults how to swim continues to be in demand and we look forward to furthering growth in 2022.”

The SafeSplash+SwimLabs and Swimtastic franchise community includes former members of the U.S. National Team, Olympians Davis Tarwater and Camille Adams, who own and operate one of the key locations, while five-time gold medalist Missy Franklin serves as a company ambassador.

It’s estimated that the market size for swimming instruction is a $1 billion annual industry, with more than 15,000 schools operating in the U.S., none of which own more than a five percent stake in market share. Almost 30 million Americans use swimming in their exercise regimen at an estimated 300,000 facilities nationwide. Sadly, despite the widespread availability of swimming instruction, the Centers for Disease Control report nearly 4,000 drownings each year, an average of 11 preventable deaths each day.
