Eggs Up Grill Myrtle Beach Franchisee Opens Third Restaurant

April 14, 2022 // Franchising.com // SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Eggs Up Grill opened its newest restaurant in Myrtle Beach today. This is the third Eggs Up Grill for local owners Buddy Lindsay and Don Rau, who like half of Eggs Up Grill franchisees, own/operate more than one location or have development underway. This is no. 56 for the franchise, and the third opening of 2022, with another 15 on the way.

Rau says, “I have enjoyed many years of success with Eggs Up Grill. The values of Eggs Up Grill, along with our neighbors and business partners in Myrtle Beach, provide great opportunities for this area.”

Rau has owned and operated restaurants throughout his career and joined Eggs Up Grill five years ago.

“We appreciate the many contributions by Don and his team to the Eggs Up Grill brand.  It’s great to have his experience and support in Myrtle Beach leading the way,” said Ricky Richardson, chief executive officer of Eggs Up Grill. “Eggs Up Grill is proud to have ten thriving restaurants in the Myrtle Beach area, serving neighbors from sunup to lunch.“

In addition to setting restaurant opening records, Eggs Up Grill also cracked first quarter projections with accelerating momentum in average restaurant sales.  The Brand closed out the first quarter of 2021 with an average annual unit volume (AUV) exceeding $1.1 million, and same-store sales up 24 percent over 2021. Last year, Eggs Up Grill recognized more than 60% of its restaurant locations for achieving annual sales exceeding $1 million in 2021.

Eggs Up Grill offers its full menu for dine-in or order online for takeout or delivery. Menu categories include omelets and benedicts prepared with fresh, hand-cracked eggs, fluffy pancakes, prepared to order waffles and breakfast sandwiches, as well as classic breakfast entrees. Lunch choices include juicy burgers, tasty sandwiches, wraps, fresh salads and savory bowls. The menu also offers gluten-friendly options and a kids’ menu. The full menu is available open to close, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. All locations are individually owned and operated by a local member of the community, providing great-tasting, freshly prepared breakfast, brunch and lunch options.
