Pet Evolution Opens First Franchise Location in St. Cloud, Minnesota

Minnesota-based pet supply store set to open first franchised location this summer

June 01, 2022 // Franchising.com // WOODBURY, Minn. - Pet Evolution will soon open in St. Cloud, Minnesota. The new store will be located at 2716 West Division Street and is slated to open on June 10th. To celebrate the store’s opening, there will also be a Grand Opening event held in mid-July.

The St. Cloud store is the third Pet Evolution location, joining the Woodbury and Arden Hills, Minnesota locations. Pet Evolution St. Cloud will be owned by Scot Ziessman. Prior to Pet Evolution, Ziessman spent the past 18 years in the franchise industry, with ownership in brands such as Massage Envy and Fantastic Sam’s.

To aid in operations, Ziessman’s team includes Tammy Virnig as VP of Franchise Operations and Dawn Agort-Kurth as VP of Franchisee Development. Combined they have over 60 years of franchise experience. Besides Ziessman‘s experience as a franchisee, Agort-Kurth successfully opened over 90 Fantastic Sam’s in Minnesota as part of the Regional developer team and Virnig has been a multi-unit General Manager and Operations Director with Great Clips, Fantastic Sam’s and Massage Envy. With the group’s combined experience of owning and operating franchises, they will bring a set of knowledge and expertise to the Pet Evolution family.

Ziessman will be opening a second Pet Evolution later this summer in Blaine, Minnesota. He also owns the licenses to open two more locations within the Twin Cities.
